2016 Hatch Family Association Reunion

July 29-31, 2016 | Salt Lake City

Plans are in place for this year's reuion! Please contact Cark Akins,HFA President, at to let us know your interest in attending.

Tentative Schedule:

Friday – July 29

9AM to 11AM – check in/registration at the Plaza Hotel?

12Noon to 1PM – bring your own lunch to the Salt Lake Stake Center (possibly with a brief speaker?)

1PM to 5PM – everyone is on their own to explore the facilities of the Library and any desired sightseeing

5PM to 6PM – back to the Salt Lake Stake Center for DNA Testing talk by Dr. Tom Allred

6PM to 7:30PM – Hawaiian themed pot luck dinner followed by cleanup

7:30 to 8PM – Sen. Orrin Hatch (still tentative, but we’re hoping. His office hasn’t said “no” yet!)

8PM to 9PM – Contributions of the Hatch Family in Settling the West – by Kaye Hooley



9AM to 11AM – registration at the Plaza Hotel? Otherwise the morning is free for sightseeing/genealogy research

12Noon to 1PM – bring your own lunch to the Cottonwood Stake Center (maybe a speaker here)

1PM to 6PM – again everyone on their own for research and/or sightseeing

6PM to 7:30PM – pot luck dinner at the Cottonwood Stake Center (chicken is suggested theme) followed by cleanup

7:30PM to 8PM – report on personal DNA testing experience in the Ira Stearns Hatch line from Genie and Ron Hatch

8PM – narrative on Jonathan Hatch by Mary Small (tentative)

8:30 – HFA Membership meeting (required by our by-laws)

Sunday – everyone is welcome to watch the Mormon Tabernacle Choir perform their radio broadcast
